We're "Woodpunch," a team of makers and fighting game enthusiasts, and we're excited to finally show off our first creation: a fully handmade, wooden leverless controller. We've put a lot of passion into crafting these, focusing on both aesthetics and performance.

  • Exceptional White Ash Construction: Each case is carved from solid White Ash, a hardwood renowned for its durability and beautiful, straight grain. The light, creamy tones of the wood give it a refined, elegant appearance.

  • Tool-Free Customization: The innovative magnetic back panel allows for easy, screw-free access to the controller's interior. This means you can effortlessly swap components, including the switches, for quick customization and maintenance.

  • Personalized Aesthetics: Express your personal style with custom artwork on the button caps. Easily print and insert your own designs for the caps, ensuring every part of your controller reflects your unique character. 

Performance

  • Responsive Cherry Switches: Experience lightning-fast inputs with the Cherry MX Speed Silver switches. With a 1.2mm actuation point, these linear switches offer a quick response for rapid actions and precise commands.

  • Customizable GP2040-CE Firmware: Powered by GP2040-CE pcb offers an overclocked polling rate for less than 1ms of input latency. The built-in web configurator allows for easy button remapping and customization without needing additional software.

  • Tournament-Ready: The firmware includes multiple SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions) cleaning modes, ensuring the controller is fully compliant with tournament regulation. 

Platform compatibility

  • Plug-and-Play: The WoodPunch is primarily plug-and-play compatible with PC and Nintendo Switch. 

  • Expanded Compatibility via Passthrough Converters: For use on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox platforms, the WoodPunch requires a passthrough converter (sold separately)
